OUT/IN

We crawled
on all fours
 out of the cave,
struggled to stretch
upright from stupor
and aim
for the stars....
but only briefly....
before we
turned around
 to stride
back indoors,
to sit,
locked in,
and stooped,
(more stupid now)

at a computer
